Symptoms
It started in the fall of 2021 with what felt like a persistent flu. Within months, it progressed to debilitating fatigue, migratory joint pain, and severe brain fog that made it impossible to continue my college coursework.
Diagnosis Journey
I spent nearly two years visiting different specialists—neurologists, rheumatologists, and cardiologists. I was told my symptoms were due to stress, depression, or fibromyalgia. Finally, I found a Lyme-literate medical doctor (LLMD) who ran a comprehensive panel and diagnosed me with Lyme disease and Bartonella.
What Helped
A combination of targeted antibiotics, herbal protocols, lifestyle adjustments, and the support of the Lyme community helped me slowly regain my health.
Message to Others
Trust your body. If you know something is wrong, do not let anyone convince you otherwise. Keep pushing for answers and find a doctor who listens.
Senator Message Version
We need better funding for reliable Lyme diagnostics so that future patients do not have to suffer for years before finding help.
